Some news just came through the pipes about the meet and greet location for Memorial Day Miami. Seems the Clevelander Hotel will be closed for renovations during this time. They will re-open on June 1st.

I dont have any information on where the Meet and Greet will be moved to – but as soon as I know I will pass it on.

The Cancun 2K7 Jumpoff (May 24-28) is anticipated to be one of the largest Memorial Day weekend celebrations ever. The Cancun Jumpoff is the largest urban event held outside of the United States. With an expected 15,000 party goers, this event looks hot!

Cancun Jumpoff is a unique urban vacation experience. Each day provide an opportunity to mix and mingle with people from all over the world. A celebration of Hip Hop/R&B enthusiast, the Cancun Jumpoff attracts Movers and shakers from both music and film industries.

CJO Kickoff party @ Dady O’s/ Ultra Lounge (11pm-7am)

The first official party of the commemorative weekend will usher in the summer with a BANG. With the temperatures rising, bottles flowing, and everybody dancing till the sun comes up, this party will welcome and introduce all attendees to the weekend’s activities. (Open Bar)

CJO Meet- N-Greet Pool Party @ Playa Cabana (4pm – 8pm)

This will be a FREE EVENT for all attendees to meet and greet with the organizers and the entertainment for the 5 yr Anniversary of “O” INT’S Cancun Jumpoff. Come and relax under the tranquil cabanas behind the City Night Club. Hors d’oeuvre’s will be served.

Memorial Day Miami also known as Urban Beach Week 2007 will be held May 25 – May 28, 2007 on the world famous Miami Beach, FL. Come down and mingle with beautiful people from all over the country and world. Last year over 350,000 people came and got wild!

Even though the majority of the action is on the streets, make sure you bring some cash with you because the clubs are pretty expensive during this time.  The crowd is laid back and the police presence is visible but they dont interfere with the activities because they are use to bigger crowds (unlike smaller cities).

The atmosphere is more laid back and casual than other events such as Black Bike Week or Black College Reunion. During Memorial Day Miami, the attendees tend to converse, party and have more of a mature attitude.
